I’m Overdue For A Vacation

I logged into my work email this morning in the Denver airport, and got the following reminder list:

two reminders for a BBQ dinner and vacation

After the troubles I’ve had in communicating with United ticket agents, I definitely agree that I’m overdue for a vacation! Good thing I’m on my way back to Omaha.

You could always use Gimp as a free alternative to Photoshop. I’m sure it is not a good for professional work, but it does have a lot of nice features and works swell on my Mac.

By the way, are you paying for Internet in the Denver airport? I always wonder who it is that will pay $10 for a couple hours of Internet. It must be those young savvy tech professionals.

I was there a couple of weeks ago, delayed and bored out of my mind. I don’t like Sports Illustrated or People magazine, but at least they give you some free content in Denver.

I am one of those dorks that pay for airport internet. There’s a cutoff of purpose for me so that unless I’m stuck for more than 2 hours, I don’t bother. I like having something more to do than crossword puzzles.

Hmm… does Gimp work on PCs? I don’t get Macs at work. :(

And I am a dork who pays for internet if I’m bored. The worst was in Helsinki - it was $8 per hour. Very high, but sometimes it’s all there is to do when you’re jetlagged and awake at 4am.

Sweet - Gimp was a good suggestion, and I’ve fixed the image!

I admit I am a cheapskate and would never pay for internet at an airport unless someone was going to reimburse me for it (aka work). :)

Is that outlook calendar I see?!
